About

1030869766Well, awesome – you kept clicking!

Are you wondering what to expect working with me? Let’s have a 15-minute phone conversation. This phone visit is truly an opportunity to determine if we are a good fit.

I do not want you to waste your time in sessions with a therapist that isn’t working to help you. This consultation helps me figure out if we can accomplish your goals together. It also allows you to choose your therapist without an initial commitment.

We will talk about where you are currently in life, what brought you into therapy, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

What’s next?

We will schedule a session to start! I approach therapy by having you take the lead on what you want to spend our sessions on. Together, we will get you to where you want to be.

This change happens by helping you find ways to manage your problems. This process includes some cognitive behavioral approaches.

Our work together will involve looking into your present situation so you can decide what future outcome you want. We will set achievable goals, which I can be a guide to help you accomplish.

1181321275My work with you will be person-centered and goal-directed.

We will gain an understanding of negative feelings and thought processes.

We will target current problems and symptoms; we will focus on changing patterns of behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that lead to difficulties in functioning. By doing so, you will reach your goals, get to a place of peace, and wake up to happier and less sad days.

I will provide a place where you feel heard in a nonjudgmental setting. Our sessions will be a safe space for you to be!

There is hope. Pick up the phone and call for a free 15-minute consultation at (503) 741-4542.

About Me

Kcp 5447My Professional Story

Therapy works; this is the reason I decided to be a therapist. It has worked for me, and it can work for you.

I was an Emergency Room (ER) therapist for several years. I had the privilege of working with clients from all professions and different levels of mental health challenges. Seeing the changes happen with the clients I worked with in the ER was remarkable.

I also have training in CBT and EMDR therapy.

Here’s some inside scoop about me.

My original country of origin is Nigeria, and I have lived in the United States for more than half my life. I have been happily married for over ten years and am a mother of two beautiful young children.

In my spare time, I love being in and around nature, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
