Rewind!
Think back to when you felt the happiest. You woke up feeling alive in the morning and started your day quickly.
No problems – you would wake up at the first sound of your alarm clock, take a nice warm shower, and be present, feeling the warmth and water beating on your shoulders.
You would pick a nice outfit for the day, get your shoes on, and walk out of the house with your cell phone and car keys.
Laughing came easy. Life felt simple and purposeful, and you felt alive. Does this describe a time inyour past? Or maybe that sounds like a fantasy, a life you wished you had but never obtained.
Things are different now.
You are overwhelmed with worry, don’t feel good enough, receive pressure from family life, work life is becoming too much to manage, and have difficulties concentrating and thinking clearly.
Life may have even reached the point of feeling worthless or undeserving of living. You may be unable to cope with the pain.
Unfortunately, at this point, you deal with all the problems alone because you don’t want to share these feelings with friends and family.
Carrying this burden is complex, and you wish you had someone with whom you could share your feelings.
I am that someone.
Therapy with me can help. When you are ready, we can start helping you rekindle those positive feelings and excitement about life. I work with you through a compassionate, nonjudgmental lens and a person-centered approach.
During our initial session, we will discuss where you are currently and work on establishing goals you want to accomplish. Once we know where you want to be, we will identify and help you understand internal and external triggers that keep you from achieving those goals.
You have strengths, and by focusing on them and learning how to use them, you can build on them to help you progress toward those goals. Expect some assignments at home because clients see improvements from implementing those assignments.
Wouldn’t you like to receive these benefits?
The benefits I have seen in my clients include improving communication, gaining a sense of self-acceptance, and increasing their self-esteem.
Clients developed better ways to change bad habits and self-defeating behaviors and can better articulate and regulate their emotions.
Finally, clients feel a sense of relief from depression, anxiety, insomnia, and trauma.
The time is now!
